The web interface of your Amped Wireless router is the control panel for your router which stores the settings and even from where one can change the settings. You need to login to your Amped Wireless setup router in order to make changes to your network.
To change any of the following:
- Default network name,
- Wi-Fi network name & password
- Username and Password
- DHCP client addresses
- Firewall settings
You need to access the web interface of your Amped wireless router.
You can access the Amped Wireless web interface quite simple and you just need the following:
- Access to the internet network, either through LAN-cable or through Wi-Fi
- Any supporting web browser.

- After successfully logging into the Amped Wireless admin page, you are able to change or personalize your settings that are set by default earlier.
- Perform the configuration of your router carefully in order to avoid any kind of network interruption.

What if Amped Wireless router or network stops working after the configuration changes?

- Position your Amped Wireless in a safe and good place
- Place it close to the center of your home.
- Avoid placing it on the floor but place it on a desk, table or shelf instead.
- Also, avoid placing it in the immediate vicinity of a wall which will hinder with the signal reception.
- Avoid keeping it near devices emitting wireless frequencies like microwave ovens or wireless phones.
- For routers having external antennas, ensure that their antennas are pointing in the right direction to optimize the range as well as performance.

If setup.ampedwireless.com fails to open the setup wizard, go through the below mentioned steps.
- Ensure that your computer is connected to the amped wireless router with the Ethernet cable. Also, make sure that you do not connect using a wireless connection and check if the power on the Router is on.
- Ensure that your computer is not connected to any wireless networks. If so, you will have to disable your Wi-Fi connection and disconnect your router from all the wireless networks. Try to reboot the router and try once again.
- Switch your currently used web browser or close and then reopen it. Use Google Chrome or Internet Explorer (v8.0 and up) preferably.
- Enter 168.3.1 into the web address bar on your web browser.
- If you are able to access the web menu but you are unable to open the Setup Wizard, it is likely to be that the Router might have previously been configured. Try to re-access the Setup Wizard from the by Scrolling to the bottom of the Dashboard page where the Setup Wizard link is present on the Dashboard.
- You can try accessing the Setup Wizard by resetting the Router to default settings by holding the Reset Button which is located on the back panel of the router for about 7 to 10 seconds. Try accessing the Setup Wizard again, and you will see it appeared if the router has not been configured yet but if it has been configured, the Dashboard will appear.
If setup.ampedwireless.com fails to open the router setup dashboard, then what to do?
- Ensure that your computer is connected to the amped wireless router with the Ethernet cable. Also, make sure that you do not connect using a wireless connection and check if the power on the Router is on.
- Ensure that your computer is not connected to any wireless networks. If so, you will have to disable your Wi-Fi connection and disconnect your router from all the wireless networks. Try to reboot the router and try once again.

- Then access again and complete the Setup Wizard or skip the Setup Wizard instead to access the Dashboard.
I am able to enter the setup.ampedwireless.com but not web menu. The login prompt appears but it does not continue on entering login details.
- Cross check to know if you are using the right login and password.
- If in any case, you have forgotten your login and password for the Web Menu, you should reset the Router to default settings and then try again.
- To reset the Router to default:
- Locate the reset button on the back panel of the router and using a pen tip, press and hold the reset button for about 5 to 10 seconds.
- The router will then restart and restore its default settings automatically.

- An amped wireless router login screen appears following setup.ampedwireless.com but if you are following amped wireless router setup for the first time, a setup configuration screen will appear following setup.ampedwireless.com login.
- The Amped Wireless Smart Setup Wizard appears and automatically starts the amped wireless router setup process on clicking the Begin Setup option.
- The amped wireless Setup Wizard directs the amped wireless users to follow the onscreen instructions for configuration of internet connection settings.
- Click on the Automatic Configuration option which will allow the setup wizard to configure your Amped wireless router automatically with the recommended internet or wireless network settings.
